he Bronx District Attorney’s Office is seeking a well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds reflect an ability to serve the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Technical Investigations Bureau is seeking a Bureau Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Bureau. This role involves answering and screening phone calls, emails, and walk-ins, and directing requests to the appropriate parties, including Video Technicians, Video Unit Supervisors, and Bureau leadership.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer and screen phone calls, emails and walk-in customers, by determining the nature of the request and directing requestors to the appropriate party including Video Technicians, Video Unit Supervisor, and/or Bureau Chief/Deputy Bureau Chief.

Organize schedules, plan meetings and events, and create Outlook calendar entries for the Bureau Chief, Deputy Bureau Chief, Video Unit Supervisor and other bureau managers.

Assist the Body Worn Camera (BWC) Unit with the classification and permissioning of body worn camera videos shared with our office, including locating missing videos, liaising with NYPD and
assisting officers with sharing videos, and updating information in various in-house BWC systems.

Create and maintain a filing system, and maintain and produce records and metrics related to the work of the Unit and Bureau including case management system records, spreadsheets, pivot tables and reports as required by management.

Assist in preparing written material, including confidential and sensitive documents and memoranda.

Order supplies.

Serve as liaison to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, provide timely and accurate information.

All other duties as required by supervisory staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree or a High School diploma/GED and four (4) years of prior work experience in a law firm, governmental agency, civic or community organization.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel (including pivot tables), and Outlook.

Excellent written, oral and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively engage in inter/intra agency collaboration and navigate a variety of systems.

Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Ability to work independently, assess priorities, take initiative, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.


Minimum Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
