The mission of the Sidewalk Program is to support the agency’s goal by providing for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of people by making sidewalks safe and accessible for all pedestrians.

The College Aide would be responsible for utilizing a combination of street view (Cyclomedia) imagery and GIS mapping to survey the condition of the bus pad or road at all bus stops throughout the City. This will assist with providing the upcoming contracts with the most-high priority locations, as well as serve as a justification for more funding once the $11.5M has been programmed. The College Aide will be supervised by Management and Budget staff and can be assigned other administrative tasks if needed.

Appointments to this Assignment Level will be made by the Technology Steering Committee through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

SPECIAL NOTE
Maximum tenure for all Assignment Levels in the title of College Aide is 6 years. No student shall be employed more than half-time in any week in which classes in which the student is enrolled are in session. Students may be employed full-time during their vacation periods.
