The TLC's Admin. Services Division is comprised of six facilities: Beaver Street, College Point, Woodside, LIC, Staten Island & JFK Airport. The Admin. Services Division is solely responsible for providing the most efficient & cost-effective support, maintenance & operation of all TLC fleet vehicles & fueling site. Admin. Services also provides an uninterrupted flow of inventory and supplies at each facility to operate & maintain adequate quality standards that include planning, control of production and procurement plans. The Division staff also works with the Department of Records & Information Services (DORIS) to manage and preserve recorded information according to professional standards and best practices, while implementing strategies to ensure it remains accessible.
The Administrative Services Division is seeking supervisory personnel for the College Point facility, the duties include, but are not limited to:
1) Inspect facility to note general condition and necessity for repairs. Conduct daily inspection of facility for HVAC, plumbing, maintenance, and supplies. Address and manage all issues of concern in a timely manner including placing service calls to building management.
2) Performance evaluation and timesheet approval. Conduct and manage performance evaluations for staff and approve and submit timesheets in accordance with agency time and leave policy and procedures.
3) Stock and Inventory, coordinate all aspects of the supply chain to include planning, productivity and maintaining efficient levels of merchandise. Manage staff responsible for ordering, storing, merchandising, and distributing supplies as necessary.
4) Security Management: Administer and maintain the overall security operations and post orders of Security Operations as it pertains to the Taxi and Limousine Commission. Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events and coordinate staff when responding to alarms and emergencies.
5) Building Management: Oversee the building systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services that affect our area of operations. Collaborate with building contractors and vendors for delivery of services for completion of the overall departmental functions.
6) Space Management: Plan best allocation and utilization of space and resources during relocations, moves and new hire occupancy. Manage and lead changes to ensure minimum disruption.
7) Operations: Manage the facility staff and provide appropriate level of staff training, setting performance benchmarks (SOPs and policies) and managing staff career development, work schedules and identifying areas for improvement. Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss various issues in facility operation. Serve as the initial point person to address users’ concerns and conflicts.
Two years of full-time satisfactory experience performing storekeeping activities, at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
