Job Description

The mission of the New York City Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in New York City by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, protect the people, reduce fear, and maintain order. The NYPD strives to foster a safe and fair city by incorporating Neighborhood Policing into all facets of Department operations and solve the problems that create crime and disorder through an interdependent relationship between the people and its police, and by pioneering strategic innovation.

The ITSD oversees critical projects and technological initiatives within the NYPD. They maintain and enhance the Department's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstations. Notably, the ITSD has rolled out various advancements, such as equipping officers with cellular phones applications and digitizing Department forms to improve efficiency.

The selected candidate will be assigned (but not limited to) the following duties:

- Oversee inventory management and update records in NYPD's tracking system known as ServiceNow;
- Conduct IT equipment testing, troubleshooting and RMA procedures;
- Supervise office procedures and coordinate equipment issuance to authorized personnel;
- Conduct safety surveys and ensures stock room is in compliance with NYPD's rules and regulations;
- Manage salvaged processes for EOL equipment and ensures accurate documentation is prepared;
- Trains team members in IT equipment handling and troubleshooting procedures; and
- Streamline supply chain processes and Improve stockroom organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of full-time satisfactory experience performing storekeeping activities, at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
