The Office of Accountability Strategies, Data Analytics, Reporting and Triage (OAS-DART) is responsible for supporting the integrity of social service programs. DART is responsible for developing technological and analytical advancements that represent an intelligence-led, data-driven Agency.

DART maintains the data analysis, reporting and performance measurement systems of DSS-AO, utilizing advanced analytics to identify new investigative initiatives, refer cases with the highest probabilities of fraud, and ensure data quality and reporting.

AOS is recruiting for one (1) Clerical Associate IV to function as a Supervisor, Intake Unit, who will:

- Supervise and distribute work assignments to staff, including sorting, batching, and distribution of incoming mail. Document incoming calls, emails, and e-faxes. Relay messages for IARU staff. Monitor work assignments by reviewing quality of output and progress. Assign completion dates to ensure compliance with DARTS’ practices for expedited processing of complaints and responses and ensures that deadlines are met. Provide feedback to staff on work assignments status and issue corrective action plans to staff as needed.

- Responsible for the dedicated online mailbox (mapd@dss.nyc.gov) by reviewing the emails and e-faxes that are received daily. Ensure that all correspondence is processed timely, and no correspondence is overlooked. Assign emails to the Administrative Support Clerical staff for review, processing and follow up. Meet with clerical staff to resolve delays in reviewing and replying to correspondence.

- Compile and ensure all records, spreadsheets, reports, and systems are accurately updated with information related to IARU mailings and clerical staff responses. Ensure that all correspondence is accurately and timely documented and recorded in one of DART’s project spreadsheets to allow DART’s management to track mailing responses.

- Ensure that clerical staff appropriately print, scan and index client and employer payroll documentation and correspondence. Prepare timely, comprehensive, factually accurate and fully documented audit findings.

- Monitor time and leave of subordinate staff; evaluate, and rates job performance. Provide staff with training and development on new and existing policy and procedures governing processes. Participate in meetings and training seminars.


Minimum Qualifications

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.

Residency Requirement

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
