Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of working in a fast-paced busy call center environment with over 200 staff members: accessing computer databases, manual files, records, and other system programs, to provide information and other accurate responses.

Under supervision with some latitude for independent judgement and initiative. Duties also include monitoring and providing guidance on all aspect of timekeeping, to two Secretaries at the CCC Bronx and Brooklyn Walk-in Centers.

1. Perform all timekeeping functions for the CCC Department.
2. Process and manage necessary human resources documents and forms for employee leave requests (e.g., FMLA, Childcare, Worker’s Compensation).
3. Prepare and maintain Kronos reports (e.g., Lateness, Missing Swipes, TA Card).
4. Troubleshoot automated payroll scheduling errors and/or problems on a weekly basis.
5. Review and verify leave balances for all CCC personnel.
6. Perform clerical functions and support other office operations and procedures.
7. Order and maintain office supply inventory.
8. Maintain employee personnel folders.

Minimum Qualifications

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization?

Skills Requirement: You will be required to meet the typing skills requirement by demonstrating the ability to type accurately on a personal computer at a minimum speed of 35 words per minute after errors are deducted. You must meet this requirement in order to be appointed.

1. Knowledge of Kronos timekeeping. 2. Excellent time management and advanced planning skills. 3. Strong administrative skills. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. Ability to work on various tasks simultaneously. 6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
