Major Responsibilities
- Under general direction, with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, coordinate candidate hiring.
- Maintains records and evaluations of employees.
- Compose and edit job postings and interview matrices. Provide support for the scheduling and coordination of panel interviews. Ensure interview/hire process is accomplished accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work with Human Resources on specialized recruitment efforts for specific staffing needs.
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions and orientations for newly hired staff.
- Oversee tracking of personnel changes and monitor divisional headcount changes.
- Serve as a liaison to other divisions including Human Resources, Payroll & Timekeeping, Benefits and Labor Relations.
- Assist with managing Citytime accounts as well as distribution of payroll.
- Provide general support services, including filing, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports using data from various sources.
- Directly assist Chief and Deputy Chief of Administrative Services with special projects and staff wellness activities.

MOVEMENT IN THE FACE OF CIVIL SERVICE LISTS IS PROHIBITED UNDER CIVIL SERVICE LAW.
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
1. Excellent leadership, communication, writing, organizational, and customer service skills. 2. Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel. 3. Experience working with Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Budget. 4. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and conduct effective follow-through. 5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 6. Able to juggle multiple projects with diverse stakeholders. 7. Significant track record of executing tight deadlines. 8. Valid New York State driver license. 9. Available to work evenings and weekends if needed. 10. Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters.
