Job Description
The Healthy Homes Unit, reporting to the Vice President of Healthy Homes and the General Manager, oversees operationalizing environmental hazard compliance efforts. The Office of Mold Assessment and Remediation is responsible for managing mold assessment and remediation contracts, ventilation modernization contracts, performance management, providing quality assurance and providing technical assistance to support Public Housing Operations for mold remediation at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). NYCHA is the nation’s largest public housing provider and is home to more than 400,000 residents across New York’s 5 boroughs.
The Operations Analyst will be a member of the Analytics and Process Change unit of the Office of Mold Assessment and Remediation.
The responsibilities of the Operations Analyst will include, but are not limited to the following;
1. Analyze work order/operations data to answer stakeholder questions, identify trends, and make recommendations for operational improvements in NYCHA communities.
2. Develop and validate excel reports to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of operations initiatives in NYCHA communities.
3. Conduct analyses and build excel models to determine projected workloads, staffing needs and associated cost estimates for successful implementation of agency priorities.
4. Draft policy memos and power point presentations to inform stakeholders of: new strategic initiatives, progress on existing projects and data trends.
5. Draft talking points for Senior Management for City Council Hearings and meetings with court-appointed officials.
6. Develop project plans and independently managing month-to-month deadlines, balancing urgency against importance while supporting longer-term data analysis.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
1. Familiarity with any of the following: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Smartsheet, GIS Mapping Software, SQL Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft BI), and R programming language. 2. At least 2 years of work experience related to housing, business, consulting, real estate, human resources, law and/or public policy. 3. Graduate degrees in fields such as public administration, public policy, urban planning, geography or business administration are preferred.
