Job Description

Assists in the negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.
- Attends bargaining sessions of assigned groups, works closely with negotiator in preparing for negotiations.
- Researches collective bargaining demands.
- Prepares pay authorizations for OPA-FISA and City agencies so that groups that have settled are paid correctly.
- Reviews draft collective bargaining agreements for accuracy.
Calculates wage and benefit costs for use in negotiations, impasse arbitration and related proceedings.
- Conducts salary and benefit surveys of national and local jurisdictions.
- Prepares special reports and studies as needed.
- Responds to inquiries from City agencies and other sources.
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
