Job Description
The Administrative Services unit is responsible for providing office support for the agency such as scanning and processing documents, archiving records, operating the mailroom, and special projects as assigned.
Under the supervision of the Administrative Services Supervisor, this candidate will be responsible for performing work as described below. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform delivery of mail outside of agency;
- Serve as a back-up mail-attendant;
- Ability to move, store and transport shred boxes of paper files up to 25 pounds;
- Maintaining and monitoring the Personnel Data Files (PDF) for active members of the Police Pension Fund;
- Identifying potential problems and making corrections to miscellaneous documents collected for processing;
- Prepare documents for scanning into automated system and processing in a timely manner;
- Entering and tracking of documents for all retired members of the Fund using the Comprehensive Officer Pension System (COPS);
- Posting and keeping simple records including maintenance calls for copiers, fax machines and other office equipment;
- Special projects as requested by supervisor.

Candidates must be permanent or reachable on a viable civil service list in the Office Machine title to be considered for this position.
Salary: The hiring rate being offered for this position is $41,064. The salary is non-negotiable.

NOTE: This is a full-time on-site position. The incumbent will be required to report to the office on a regular basis.

Education Requirement: By the last day of the Application Period you must have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization.
