- Drive Department Vehicle to transport materials, equipment to various locations and storage facility.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, and equipment, debris.
- Responsible for securing NYCHA’s supplies, materials, tools and other equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring the NYCHA’S vehicles are operating properly, checking for conditions such as tires, oil, fuel, breaks and replenish as needed.
- During times when not required to drive, may be required to performs additional duties as running errands, answering phones.

1. Due to the existence of a civil service list, candidates must have civil service status in the title of Motor Vehicle Operator to be considered.
2. For NYCHA employees, employees applying for transfer, promotional, title or level change opportunities must have served a period of one year at current location and in current title and level
(if applicable).
3. INTERAGENCY TRANSFERS INTO NYCHA OF THOSE PERMANENT IN TITLE ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE FACE OF AN ACTIVE AND VIABLE NYCHA PROMOTION LIST OR
