The New York City Department of Design and Construction, Information Technology Services Unit, is actively seeking a capable and dependable Mobile Device Coordinator. This role will be responsible for overseeing the agency's mobile device management system to ensure the efficient utilization of mobile devices by staff members. The responsibilities include maintaining precise records of mobile devices, including procurement, allocation, and disposal. Additionally, the Mobile Device Coordinator will provide technical support to staff for mobile device-related issues, including troubleshooting, configuration, and issue resolution. The role also involves enforcing security protocols and compliance standards to safeguard data on mobile devices and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Collaboration with vendors and service providers to procure mobile devices and manage service agreements will be essential. Developing and delivering training programs to educate staff on the proper use and security of mobile devices is a critical aspect of the role. The Mobile Device Coordinator will also contribute to the development and implementation of mobile device policies, guidelines, and best practices. Continuous monitoring of mobile device system performance, proposing enhancements, and generating reports on usage, expenses, and compliance will be key responsibilities. Furthermore, fostering a sense of community among mobile device staff within the agency, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration, is integral to this role. Staying informed about emerging mobile device technologies, industry trends, and best practices is crucial for ensuring the agency remains competitive and efficient.


Minimum Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.


Preferred Skills

Proficiency in utilizing MDM solutions for mobile device management and security. Familiarity with iOS and Android platforms, including troubleshooting, device configuration, and optimization. Excellent troubleshooting skills for efficiently diagnosing and resolving mobile device-related issues. Capability to develop, implement, and enforce mobile device usage policies and compliance standards. Proficiency in designing and delivering training programs to educate users on mobile device best practices. Outstanding customer service skills to provide responsive and helpful support to end-users. Strong documentation skills for maintaining records of mobile device inventory, policies, and procedures. Flexibility to adapt to evolving mobile technologies, industry trends, and organizational needs. Collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and fostering a sense of community among mobile device users.
