Job Description
Under the supervision of the Director of the Management Analysis and Planning (MAP) Unit, the employee will be responsible for the processing of member annual statements, preparation of reports, performing analyses and assessing data quality. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Completing bi-weekly verifications and validations of pension transactions for the accounting operations within the Pension Administration System;
- Running and monitoring batch imports. Evaluating exception reporting and driving the batch process to completion;
- Analysis of SQL reports using the data available in the existing pension administration system (Oracle Based);
- Monitoring and reporting on data quality assurance issues;
- Responding to business questions using data / system analysis;
- Assisting the business units with inquiries and performing quality assurance tasks related to large, annual processing of member annual statements and data audits;
- Reviewing and auditing computer output accuracy and coordination of activities with other units within the agency;
- Performs other special projects as may be required;
- Assisting the unit supervisor with COPS 2.0 related tasks.
Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
- Strong computer skills, including proven expertise with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint - SQL and data report experience, including batch processing - Strong math and computation skills - Experience with business and data analysis - A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science or a related field.
