The Department of Probation is recruiting (1) one Associate Staff Analyst to function as a Human Resources (HR) Quality Assurance Manager. Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner of HR and Labor Relations, with very wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative the HR Quality Assurance Manager will:
- Manage all recruitment data control for OMB submissions, approvals and pending actions as well as track all personnel actions for the Department of Probations and submit NYCAPS error tickets as needed.
- Serves as the point of contact for all OMB requests for justification and follow ups as needed. Liaise with the OMB Task Force for review and approval all new hire personnel actions.
- Ensure that personnel transactions and records are updated and accurate. Serve as a principal resource to key executive staff within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Assist the Assistant Commissioner with both short and long-range planning for staffing needs to meet their operational goals and objectives within headcount and budgetary constraints.
- Respond to difficult and sensitive programmatic staff inquiries and complaints and assist with resolutions and alternative recommendations.
- Oversee the maintenance of the department organizational charts as well as keep track of agency staff attrition.
- Assist with special projects as needed.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
- Detail-oriented & high-level organizational skills. - The ability to exercise independent judgment & manage multiple priorities. - Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. - Expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs. - Ability to compile reports and prepare presentations.
