The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, suddenly when in apparent health, when unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person.

The OCME Human Resources team serves as an organizational partner for the facilitation of all workforce management, recruitment and engagement processes and policies. We are currently seeking an intern to assist with our record digitization project to ensure that all employees’ folders are scanned and stored digitally. The part-time interns selected this semester will assist with various projects including but not limited to:
- Assist with handling employee filing.
- Assist with the digital office transition agency project.
- Supports the Compliance, Training, and Internship programs.
- Assist with the retrieval, tracking, and filing of employee’s licenses.
- Provide support with other crucial agency projects.
- Provide administrative support as needed.

As of June of the Program year the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).
NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June - August each year.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Word. - Familiarity with image/document scanning
