Job Description

Under supervision, with some latitude for independent judgment, the selected candidate will receive training and assist in professional and technical work of salary implementation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Receive training and assist the Salary implementation Division analysts in reviewing contractual data for accuracy.
2. Assist in analyzing data for payment of contractual increases (Unsuppressed Minimum/Minimum incumbent rate of pay) with (On the Job instructor).
3. Assist in reviewing/analyzing data from Queries.
4. Receive training and assist in the implementation of contractual guidelines for payment of any additions to gross.
5. Assist in reviewing and analyzing data from OPA/FISA report with an OJI.
6. Receive training and assist in performing transaction on NYCAPS.
7. Learn various Labor Contract Guidelines to assist in extracting data for Additions to Gross Payments

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
1. Ability to function in Access, Excel, and Word. 2. Knowledge of PMS (Payroll Mainframe System) and NYCAPS (New York Automated Personnel System). 3. Knowledge of processing queries in Access. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
