Job Description
Under the guidance of the Director of HR Operations, the candidate will have a significant degree of autonomy in exercising judgment and making decisions. The individual will assist with various Human Resources functions, including payroll processing, audits, leave management, and timekeeping. Typical responsibilities include the following:
- Conduct regular payroll audits to identify and correct salary errors and discrepancies.
- Independently review and project salary increases, entering employee transactions when required.
- Process and approve pay details to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds to employees.
- Assist in resolving timesheet issues to ensure compliance with payroll processes.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to track audit findings and monitor corrections in payroll.
- Generate confidential reports using HR systems (CHRMS, NYCAPS, PMS) for analysis and decision-making related to payroll accuracy.
- Utilize CHRMS, NYCAPS, and PMS systems to verify employee salaries and ensure proper compensation aligns with payroll audits.
- Assist with check deliveries as needed to ensure employees receive their compensation promptly.
- Support various HR units, including Payroll, Timekeeping, and Labor Relations, to optimize payroll processes.
- Maintain open communication with HR partners to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- May assist and handle timekeeping and leaves duties.
- Perform other assigned duties related to payroll and auditing processes as required to support the HR department's objectives
MANAGEMENT AUDITOR TRAINEE - 40501
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university including or supplemented by 24 credits in accounting, including one course each in advanced accounting, auditing, and cost accounting.
- Skilled in generating confidential HR reports for analysis, aiding strategic decision-making processes while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. - Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment while meeting deadlines and ensuring quality outcomes. - Experience in supporting various HR units, including payroll, timekeeping, and labor relations, contributing to overall HR effectiveness. - Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work, including maintaining accurate records for employee processing
