Job Description
Under general supervision, the selected candidate will perform advanced storekeeping and inventory control functions in support of NYCHA warehouse and field operations. Candidate will be responsible for receipt, inspection, storage, distribution, and reconciliation of materials, supplies, and equipment. Exercises increased responsibility over inventory accuracy, operational coordination, and may provide guidance or oversight to lower-level staff.
This role supports the full inventory lifecycle while ensuring compliance with NYCHA procedures, safety standards, and system controls (Oracle/Maximo). Responsibility includes but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee and perform receiving, inspecting, verifying, and storing of materials and equipment.
- Ensure all deliveries are accurate by reconciling packing slips, invoices, and system records.
- Maintain perpetual inventory records and supports cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
- Utilize Oracle and Maximo systems to track inventory transactions and ensure real-time accuracy.
- Coordinate distribution of materials to developments and work orders.
- Identify discrepancies, damages, or shortages and reports findings with corrective actions.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and transport vehicles for material movement.
- Maintain, organize, clean, and safe storeroom and warehouse environments.
- Assist in preparing inventory reports and supporting audits or inspections.
- Provide guidance to Housing Stock Worker Level 1 staff and assist supervisors with workflow coordination.
- Ensure compliance with NYCHA inventory procedures, safety protocols, and material handling standards.
- May transport materials between locations as operationally required.
- Support emergency and high-priority operations requiring rapid material deployment (Aligned with core stock worker and supervisory support functions).
