Roadway Repair and Maintenance (RRM)’s Contract Management team is responsible for managing DOT’s milling contracts. These milling contracts are used to mill the streets prior to paving by RRM’s In-House Crews and are necessary in order to reach yearly resurfacing targets. This Unit is responsible for the milling contracts from inception through closure. This will involve procuring the contracts, and estimates for each contract, to working with DOT’s ACCO in bidding and registering contracts. Under general supervision (of an Administrative Engineer), oversee and coordinate citywide construction/milling projects being performed by contractors. Review schedules and reports prepared/submitted by ACHR’s, and contractors to assure compliance and timely completion. Work along with Area Supervisor & SHR to ensure the Contractor is complying with the safety and work standards. Assists ACHR’s with their day-to-day paperwork. Review and prepare milling reports. Work in conjunction with Clerical Associate responsible for data entry/retrieval. Conduct pre and post site inspections. Ensure that all the proper paperwork has been secured or filed; interface with external units, private contractors/representatives, consultants, and engineers. Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, NYCStreet (MOSIACS), and other in-house databases. Report to Area Supervisor & SHR of developing trends and problematic situation. Provide suggestions for corrective actions as needed.

Qualification Requirements
1. Three years of full-time experience as an Assistant City Highway Repairer; or
2. Three years of full-time experience acquired within the last 5 years in roadway maintenance and repair using asphalt and concrete mixes, performing the functions of a Highway Repairer; or
3. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
License Requirement
At the time of appointment, candidates must possess a Class B Commercial Driver License valid for air brakes, valid in the State of New York. This license must be maintained for the duration of employment.
