Job Description

This position will work with the Budget Director to execute several budget and fiscal responsibilities of the Office of the Queens Borough President.


Duties include:
Executing discretionary funding contracts, including working with funding recipients to ensure completeness of all contract requirements
Reviewing contracts with Agency Chief Contracting Officer to determine contract compliance with City rules and determining eligibility of capital funding requests. Analyzing in detail the New York City Preliminary, Executive, and Adopted Budget
Assisting the Budget Director in any other functions related to budget and fiscal matters
Agency Tin match Administrator
Vendor creation and compliance
Meet with various organizations to discuss funding requests
Compile and process budget data for analysis
Assist with interoffice Fiscal Operations
Position may require some night and weekend work during peak times

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
1.A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.


Preferred Skills

Familarity with FMS and Comptroller's Directives, PASSPORT, CapGrants

Residency Requirement

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
