The Equal Employment Opportunity Network Liaison Coordinator is a program manager. They are responsible for ensuring that every command within the Department has an EEO Liaison. The coordinator is responsible to creating the Annual Conference in which all liaisons attend, and establish speakers and other events for this conference. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for researching and evaluating other trainings and informational in which to present to the liaisons on a regular basis, and hold conferences and webinars. The Coordinator must communicate with each EEO Liaison and is responsible for completing quarterly audits to ensure that that there is always a liaison in their commands. Additionally, the Coordinator communicates OEI office materials, messages and information to the network on a regular and frequent basis. The Coordinator is responsible for creating a yearly plan of trainings, recruitments sessions, conferences, and other activities. This must be established at the beginning of each fiscal year. As such the Coordinator must be highly proficient in excel and have strong organizational skills.
1. Responsible for design, implementation and evaluation of the EEO Liaison Network.
2. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the EEOLN program which include, but is not limited to, recruitment and screening of applicants, ongoing communication with liaisons, organizing EEOLN events including orientation sessions, training, and recognition/awards ceremonies.
3. Responsible for the preparation of all EEOLN related reporting.
4. Coordinators responsibilities will include conducting various research projects related to policies, procedures, and key programs in OEI and the NYPD, performing in-depth research and analyses and providing insight to inform decision making.
5. Complete quarterly audits of EEOLN members to ensure all precincts are current and up to date with an EEOL.
WORK LOCATION: 375 Pearl Street
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field, and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management; or in a related area. 18 months of this experience must have been in an executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity. Supervision must have included supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in the areas described in "1" above, including the 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience, as described in "1" above.

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
