Under the supervision, the Enforcement Service Representative provides general support on enforcement projects and cases and will have some latitude for independent judgment. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing certificate of corrections to determine if the proper documentation is included and that submissions meet minimum agency requirements.
- Providing customers with preliminary rejections when certificate of correction packages do not meet minimum department requirements.
- Recording and tracking all records of preliminary rejection provided to customers.
- Reviewing, approving and/or disapproving certificate of corrections submitted to the unit.
- Making appropriate recommendations when dealing with difficult or special cases.
- Preparing violation case folders as necessary.
- Providing adequate customer service to customers who appear in person for assistance with certificates of correction.
- Processing and prioritizing dropped off or mailed certificate of correction requests (intake).
- Accurately updating relevant systems to reflect certificate of correction review results (AIMS and Certificate of Correction Database).
- Conducting research in various department and city systems to verify all information submitted with a certificate of correction package (BIS, DOB NOW, OATH/ECB Ticket Finder, AIMS, etc.).
- Reviewing Department of Finance ownership records (ACRIS) to determine ownership of a property.
- Updating OATH/ECB's AIMS database to reflect compliance information, as it relates to approved certificates of correction.
- Maintaining general case files for the unit.
- Assist in public outreach regarding resolution of violations.
- Research and respond to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and subpoena requests, as necessary.
- Providing telephone coverage and responding to telephone inquiries from the public and other department personnel.
- Processing and Data Entering of Notices of Violation as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as directed by supervisors.

Only permanent Clerical Associates, applicants who provide proof of tentatively passing the Clerical Associate portion of the New York City Bridge Exam No. 3971, and applicants as indicated below will be considered will be considered.

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
