The Employer Management Group (EMG) is accountable for functions that use employer-related data to ensure proper collection of Qualified Pension Plan (QPP) contributions and management of QPP discrepancies.
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team in a role focused on the processing of employer-related data.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and updating member accounts, specifically employment status, salary/wages, and service records.
- Proactively addressing and resolving exceptions and deficit triggers.
- Ensuring a seamless data migration and transition from UPS to ASPEN for QPP contribution and discrepancy management.
- Processing and analyzing exceptions related to QPP Contribution Discrepancy.
- Coordinating with various business units and escalating issues to managers as needed.
- Conducting root cause analysis of missing employment and salary discrepancies and implementing appropriate resolution processes.
1. An associate degree or completion of 60 credits from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 9 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting, and/or actuarial science; or
2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of satisfactory full-time experience performing mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations in one or more of the following: a) a retirement or employee benefits plan; b) customer service in a financial
institution; and/or c) in a position requiring the application of laws, rules and regulations and the use of statistical, actuarial or similar tables; or
3. A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to “1" or “2" above. College education may be substituted for experience in “2" above on the basis that 30 semester credits from an accredited college may be substituted for each year of required experience. However, all candidates must posses a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and either 9 semester credits
in mathematics, statistics, accounting and/or actuarial science from an accredited college or one year of experience as described in “2" above.
Preferred Skills in Addition to Minimum Qualifications: - Experience working on multiple tasks and assignments while maintaining attention to detail and the ability to be flexible with changing demands. - Must have served in the role of performing data reconciliation, preferably financial transactions, using spreadsheets and large data sets minimum of five (5) years. - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Interest in taking the initiative and helping team members discover problems and troubleshoot solutions. - Ability to quickly learn new software tools used at TRS including ASPEN and UPS - Ability to think creatively, embrace new approaches, and pioneer innovative solutions to intricate problems. - Ability to write reports, correspondence, and memorandums. - Ability to read and interpret project plans, reports, and business correspondence.
