Major Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Chief Marketing and Development Officer, with considerable latitude for independent initiative and judgment, manage the coordination and implementation of Agency marketing and fundraising operations.
- Lead the annual multi-million dollar Adopt-A-Park campaign, working with external organizations and numerous Parks divisions.
- Evaluate on an ongoing basis the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and setting new goals each year to build out a donor-centered and segmented fundraising approach.
- Spearhead the development of a Customer-Relationship-Management database.
- Overhaul team operations and implement standard operating procedures and best practices to increase department capacity for projects.
- Assist the Chief of Marketing and Development and the Creative Director in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for Agency and City initiatives.
- Provide guidance on the purchasing process for Business Development & Special Events; serve as the primary liaison with Purchasing.
- Manage reporting for Marketing & Development, including quarterly and annual reports.
- Train and orient new Marketing & Development personnel.
- Serve as a resource for internal divisions including government relations, legal, press, media and operations.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
1. Bachelor’s Degree. 2. Four or more years of experience working on corporate partnerships with a proven track record of success. 3. Four or more years of experience in fundraising with a proven track record of success. 4. Exceptional writing skills to create new marketing ideas, materials, pitches and proposals. 5. Experience in creating and executing effective marketing campaigns. 6. Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. 7. Ability to work independently and initiate projects. 8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 9. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines. 10. Proficiency in computer software including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. 11. Valid New York State driver license.
