Major Responsibilities
- Under general direction, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment advise the Director of Concessions Compliance on complex concession matters to ensure contractual compliance requirements are represented in all documents, internal and external created by the Concessions division.
- Collaborate with and serve as liaison to community boards, community groups, and other governmental agencies.
- Serve as point person for emergency situations, such as severe weather, attend Agency-wide meetings and provide outreach to concessionaires with relevant messaging.
- Identify and initiate new systems to ensure contract compliance and methods to ensure effectiveness.
- Continue to update and maintain a log of all inspections performed and identify ways to increase the number of inspections with limited resources.
- Perform inspections of concessions as necessary, write follow-up reports and notices of violations. Give possible solutions to identified problems.
- Investigate and documents incidents, including but not limited to fires and accidents, related to Parks concessionaires.
- Manage special projects, including the preparation of Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Bids (RFB), Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) and other high priority initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above;
4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.

1. Bachelor’s degree. 2. Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills. 3. Ability to work independently and initiate projects. 4. Financial analysis experience. 5. Understanding of contract administration and compliance. 6. Proficiency in computer software including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. 7. Valid New York State driver license.

Residency Requirement

Residency in New York City, Nassau, Orange, Rockland, Suffolk, Putnam or Westchester counties required for employees with over two years of city service. New York City residency required within 90 days of hire for all other candidates.
