Under general direction of the Deputy Director for Skilled Trades within Public Housing Operations for the Bronx, the selected Community Coordinator will be responsible for the following, with latitude for independent initiative and judgement:
Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Review and monitor requirement contracts, including requesting capacity increases, contract extensions and making recommendations for new Neighborhood and Borough based requirement contracts.
- Request and process Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for the Borough.
- Create requisitions for use of contracts/services.
- Closely communicate/interact with Vendor throughout repair process conducting inspections upon completion in order to provide approval for sign -off on the Statement of Services.
- Work across departments to assist in ascertaining Neighborhood/Borough needs as it relates to procurement action.
- Provide timely customer service to neighborhood requestors as well as internal stakeholders.
- Contact non-responsive Vendors including the initiating and finalizing of the contract default processes.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with Vendors, Neighborhoods and Boroughs both separately and jointly.
- Assist with monitoring and liaising with the staff of Procurement/Neighborhoods/Borough for developing contractual needs within the Neighborhoods and Borough.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
1. Ability to analyze data using data management tools such as, Excel and Oracle and provide metrics for status updates to support decision making. 2. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to interact with all levels of management. 3. Ability to monitor contract information and escalate critical issues consistently and accurately. 4. Ability to take initiative, problem solve, work independently and within a team environment.
