Job Description

This vacancy has now expired.

The New York City Housing Authority seeks a Community Service Aide. This is a temporary assignment with a duration of one to two years. The selected candidates will work in the Public Housing Tenancy Operations Department under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director for Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and will perform the following duties, but are not limited to:

- Scan paper files.
- Organize digital files.
- Pack tenant files.
- Perform routine office tasks, such as filing, keeping records and typing as needed.
- Conduct various levels of resident outreach.
- Assist with special projects.

Note: Selected candidates may be required to travel to all five boroughs including Central Office although a typical assignment may be at one development for an extended period of time.

Minimum Qualifications

The ability to understand and carry out simple instructions; in some cases the ability to speak Spanish may be required. There are no formal education requirements for this position.
