The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation’s largest public housing authority, with an operating budget of $3.3 billion and over 11,000 employees who manage and maintain 292
developments that house over 500,000 residents. NYCHA also operates the country’s largest Section 8 program, which provides rental assistance to over 200,000 additional families.
Responsibilities include but are not limited the following.
1. The position involves analyzing and monitoring contracts and contractors.
2. Monitor and/or evaluate programs providing important community services.
3. Review data and information from vendors.
4. Review data and information from field staff.
5. Cross compare data from vendors and field inspectors to determine discrepancies.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
1. Experience conducting physical apartment inspections for public housing and Section 8 programs and/or 2. Experience performing lead-based paint correction and remediation work for public or private large landlord or contractor. 3. Experience using wireless handheld computer devices to record data. 4. Basic computer skills experience using Microsoft Outlook
