Job Description

Reporting to the Heating Management Services Department (HMSD) Administration Deputy Director, under general direction, with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the Community Coordinator will perform a critical work by reviewing, analyzing, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and/or evaluation of community development programs and services that can impact residents at large.

Functions and Examples of Typical Tasks Plans

- Forecast impact of poor and excellent services via data analysis.
- Evaluate overall Heat and Hot Water Services Protocol and Performance.
- Conduct data analysis and compile Heating Department monthly key performance indicators.
- Implement, coordinate, monitor and/or evaluate services/programs providing important community and critical services.
- Evaluate services by reviewing productivity reports and other related services reports.
- Perform difficult work in the preparation of planning documents required for funding.
- Make recommendations on protocols, policies and procedures.
- Provide authoritative interpretation of complex problems that can support viable solutions.
- Facilitate in developing tools to improve services via Technology Solutions.
- Provide technical assistance and training to subordinate staff in techniques of program implementation and management.
- Prepare and present information to HSMD Managers and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist business units in the planning, design, and implementation of special initiatives.
- Act as a liaison and cooperate with stakeholders within the Authority.

Minimum Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.


Preferred Skills

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interface well with senior Authority management and external partners. 2. Highly organized with the ability to work under stringent deadlines. 3. Manage multiple assignments and handle sensitive information. 4. Ability to work independently and in a team environment to create and provide written interpretations and present findings in written reports and verbal presentations. 5. Flexible work schedule. 6. Excellent interpersonal and soft skills.
