The selected candidate will serve as a Community Associate in the Correspondence/FOIL/Record Central Unit within BWSO’s Division of Management Services. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing a wide range of requests from correspondence, openrecords, connection card requests for large area requests for geographic data and document research. Production and editing of maps for water mains, sewer as-builts, storm water and sanitary drainage plans. Process requests for water and sewer information records submitted by the private sector, government agencies and private firms that are retained by government agencies, updating, and maintaining the tracking database, including Microsoft Dynamic (CRM), ESRI Geographic Information Systems (GIS), CorrTrack. Infor Public Sector (IPS), OpenRecords and several customized records retrieval applications, MS4 environmental compliance.
Under general supervision with some latitude for independent or unreviewed action or decision, candidate may perform basic research in the field of city planning. FOIL requests and requests in response to legal subpoenas must be researched and processed upon receipt due to the tight deadline of the litigation process. Responsibilities include performing research and processing requests for information pertaining to correspondence, foil requests for water and sewer information, tap cards and sewer connection cards; scanning water tap cards and sewer connection cards and entering required information into database; maintaining files, checks, and updating records.

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
