Job Description
The Community Associate, under the supervision of a Licensed Master Plumber, with latitude for independent initiative and judgement, supports the administrative needs of the Office of Fire Safety. The Community Associate, while encouraged to think independently, will receive guidance and vital information necessary to perform these duties, and to gain knowledge of new procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Assist in the procurement of materials and tools needed for the daily repair work of the skilled trades.
2. Assist in the administrative filing of requests for inspection and testing to the FDNY & NYC DOB.
3. Create releases against purchase requisitions for 3rd party contracts.
4. General administrative support of the office.

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
