Job Description
- Coordinate and schedule the community fire prevention education symposia.
- Act as liaison with the FDNY Education unit and coordinates participation in Family Fun days.
- Track and schedule request for fire safety education.
- Track and maintain the fire event database and prepares data for analysis.
- Support the administrative needs of the office of Fire Safety to include procurement of materials and tools needed for the daily repair work of the skilled trades.
- Assist with administrative filing of requests for inspection and testing to the FDNY & NYC DOB under the direction of the Licensed Master Plumber.
- Creation of releases against purchase requisitions for 3rd party contracts.
- General administrative support of the office.

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
1. Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets 2. Some knowledge of Oracle systems or willingness to learn 3. Under supervision, latitude for independent initiative & judgment 4. Knowledge or willing to learn Maximo maintenance management software 5. MS Office suite
