The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, suddenly when in apparent health, when unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person.

Under administrative direction, with latitude for independent judgement, the incumbent will perform the following duties but are not limited to:
- Support the Forensic Operations & Investigations Division by initiating & monitoring requests to Procurement for goods and services.
- Ensure that the requisition is logged in the relevant program requisition spreadsheet by the end of the day and update the requisition spreadsheet on a weekly basis detailing the status of approvals pending, award execution, receipt of goods, invoicing and liquidation of funds.
- Assist Forensic Operations & Investigations Division personnel with scheduling and facilitating division meetings, coordinate with Security and input guests into Passage Point System.
- Responsible for entering relevant work requests for Facilities and IT services and prepare necessary administrative documentation in support of meetings.
- Responsible for performing all administrative duties to ensure the Forensic Ops department is supported.
SPECIAL NOTE:

- This position has been identified as “essential.” During emergency events, “essential” positions may require 24-hour availability.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
