The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation’s oldest and largest public housing authority with more than 177,000 apartments, and responsibility for administering a citywide Section 8 leased housing program that serves over 200,000 additional tenants. Reporting to the Administrative Relations Specialist, the selected candidate will be responsible for processing and maintaining time and attendance records for all employees at Healthy Homes Department. In addition, will be responsible to ensure all employees adhere to NYCHA’s timekeeping rules and regulations such as; summer hours, religious observance, worker's compensation, approved excused times, etc.

Specific duties shall include but are not limited to the following:

1. Monitor Kronos daily for completeness and accuracy.
2. Prepare and maintain Kronos reports such as lateness, absence and missing swipes for supervisor’s review.
3. Prepare Monthly and Yearly close-out Kronos timekeeping reports.
4. Record manual timekeeping events.
5. Handle timekeeping inquiries from employees, supervisors, Human Resources, etc.
6. Prepare and submit “Action on Paycheck” for employees.
7. Maintain updated employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
8. Notify Human Resources of issues with non-operating timeclocks and following up.
9. Perform specific projects as requested by Director.
10. Serve as a back-up secretary for the Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.


Preferred Skills

1. Extensive Kronos/timekeeping experience. 2. Knowledge of NYCHA leave regulations. 3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work. 6. Knowledge of Maximo and Oracle.
