Transportation Bureau, Traffic Enforcement District - Bronx Tow Pound is responsible for towing vehicles in violation and then returning those vehicles when the respondents come to redeem them.
The cashier will work in the Redemption Unit and will be responsible for cashier duties, as well as light clerical duties.
Work Location: Bronx Tow Pound, 2444 Exterior Street, Bronx, NY 10038
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 1300 x 2100
1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience dealing with sums of money in such positions as cashier, sales cashier, bank teller, housing teller, railroad clerk, or toll collector; or
2. Two years of full-time satisfactory experience in "1" above.
3. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of full-time experience as described in "1" above.
Basic Computer Skills and knowledge of MS Word and Excel
