The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is the nation’s largest for-hire transportation agency, licensing and regulating the City’s yellow and green taxicabs, for-hire vehicles, rideshare companies, commuter vans, and luxury limousines. TLC develops and enforces rules to promote safety, transparency, and accessibility, and works to promote consumer and driver protection for a vital mode of transport in New York City. - Review medallions information and TLC-licensed businesses data from internal databases and other TLC divisions to identify the relationships between Medallion Owners, TLC-licensed Brokers and TLC-licensed Agents.
- Coordinate outreach and liaison support to TLC-licensed brokers and agents in person, over the telephone, or via email.
- Conduct research involving the examination of records and data in collaboration with other TLC divisions, and City and State agencies.
- Assist with compilation and review of annual disclosure forms from TLC-licensed businesses to promote accountability of TLC licenses and TLC-associated business interests in an effort to prevent potential conflicts of interest.
- Support the Business Protection team to develop and implement new business practice standards to ensure the financial stability of the transportation sector.
- Create slide decks, reports, policy memos, workflows, and other materials as needed.
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
- One year experience with program management tools and related process management methods. - One year of reporting complex reports using spreadsheets and MS tools. - One year of conducting outreach to TLC licensed Brokers and Agents. - Effective and efficient problem-solving skills. - Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Review and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from a range of sources. - Experience using advanced functions of Microsoft Excel.
