Join the dynamic team of Performance Tracking and Analytics Department within the Performance Management & Analytics (PMA) division where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects with different departments using a variety of tools and datasets.

Within NYCHA, Performance Management & Analytics (PMA) provides best-in-class business analytic support to help Executive Staff and Departments successfully execute long-term strategic goals and achieve day-to-day operational effectiveness and efficiency. In addition to serving as the primary reporting and analytics unit within NYCHA, our department also ensures compliance with reporting for HUD and New York City, and promotes a data driven culture that improves decision making at all levels of the Authority.
The Performance Tracking and Analytics Department (PTAD) provides support to departments throughout the agency through quantitative data analysis, qualitative research, and reporting & analytics, including policy impact forecasting, geospatial analytics, compliance reporting, and research collaborations.
Under direction of the Chief of Reporting, with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative, specific duties shall include, but not be limited to the following:
1. Respond to various data requests for internal NYCHA departments and external entities.
2. Provide statistical analyses, written trends and/or reports to inform the Executive Department of the Authority’s performance in key areas.
3. Conduct data analysis, compile and analyze monthly key performance indicator reports, and assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, reports and charts for the NYCHA Statistics, Trends, and Tracking (STAT) meetings and other ad hoc meetings.
4. Assist with the maintenance and development of reports for the Oracle based Performance Tracking Dashboard.
5. Use big data and statistical tools to analyze complex datasets of various sources and disseminate results through written reports and presentations.
6. Develop predictive modeling to assist with forecast for a variety of performance indicators such as rent delinquency, work orders, vacancies, etc.
7. Assist with mandated reported for Mayor’s Management Report (MMR) as well as special projects as needed etc.
8. Assist the Director in the development and reporting of performance indicators for various departments within the New York City Housing Authority.
9. Assist business units in the planning, design, and implementation of special initiatives involving statistical research.

1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, statistics, finance, management, business administration, public administration, public policy or related field; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in one or more of the course areas of economics, statistics,
finance, management, mathematics, business administration, public administration, and public policy, 12 semester credits of which must have been in economics; and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in one or more of the
fields of finance; economic, fiscal or statistical research; policy analysis; or quantitative, business, market or financial analysis. Graduate semester credits in any of the areas described in "1" above may be substituted for the undergraduate
semester credits on the basis that each 3 graduate semester credits may be substituted for 6 of the required undergraduate semester credits.

To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II individuals must have, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, at least one additional year of full-time experience listed in "2" above.

1. Data management skills including constructing datasets for specific analyses and cleaning, aggregating and matching large data sets. 2. Minimum 2 years of experience with standard query language (SQL) and data models. 3. Ability to compile data by querying databases and joining tables from various sources. 4. Experience developing analytic plans and conducting statistical analyses. 5. Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI. 6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Teams. 7. Highly organized with the ability to work under stringent deadlines, manage multiple assignments and handle sensitive information. 8. Must have experience working with cross-functional teams for project delivery.
