Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Meet with senior borough management for Family Court and Tort Division at each site to discuss any pending request, pending projects or outstanding issues.
- Supervise outer borough projects. For example, Re-fresh Projects, Cabling projects and office consolidations.
- Meet with property managers, cleaning vendors, and DCAS management to resolve facility related issues.
. Assist with various facilities related projects in the outer boroughs. Including Refresh Projects, VoIP projects and furniture deliveries.
- Supervise facilities file clerks, borough custodians, and temporary staff at our file storage facility in Brooklyn and outer borough locations.
- Oversee the handling of over 150,000 archived boxes at our file storage facility. Monitor and maintain the O’Neil bar-coding system at Bush Terminal. Update DORIS records management database system.
- Prepare archiving reports, file retention reports, and pulping reports monthly for review by the Chief of Facilities and/or designee.
- Coordinate and supervise the removal of archived files from 15 locations.
- Assist and coordinate the pulping of 13,000+ archived boxes yearly that have reached the end of their retention life.
- Make minor repairs to furniture, door locks and facility equipment as needed.
- Drive mid-size 24 ft box trucks and/or cargo vans to various borough offices.

Two years of full-time satisfactory experience in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings.
To be assigned to Assignment Level II, candidates must have three years of satisfactory experience as described in the "Qualification Requirements" above.
To be assigned to Assignment Level III and IV candidates must have four years of satisfactory experience as described in the "Qualification Requirements" above.
- Active Driver’s license with the ability to drive a mid-size cargo van and a large box truck preferred. - Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Word processing and database entry knowledge required. - Team Management Skills - Strong oral & written communication skills - Ability to multi-task and work independently
