Major Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, with some latitude for independent initiative and judgment, review and process all Agency Workers’ Compensation claims by maintaining a database, reviewing all documents and following up on missing or unclear information.
- Serve as liaison to New York City Law Department for employees who have been injured on the job.
- Provide analysis of Workers’ Compensation claims and identify problem areas.
- Track employees on Military Leave and follow up on missing or unclear information to ensure that military time is used according to guidelines.
- Serve as a resource to employees by providing information concerning their Workers Compensation Claims inquiries.
- Generate reports and spreadsheets for quarterly and annual review.
- Assist with the implementation of Agency initiatives.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
