Reporting to the Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (“CAO”), the Associate Strategic Project Manager will be a vital member of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, assisting with special projects and priority initiatives to ensure the success of all departments reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide strategic support and partnership to the Senior Advisor, including coordinating and monitoring assignments and projects assigned to departments within Administration in furtherance of providing services to NYCHA employees and residents.
- Work as a team player, supporting the Office of the CAO as well as Administration department leaders, and assist with priority projects as needed and ensure successful and timely execution of all assignments.
- Assist in the preparation of a wide range of deliverables, including preparing presentations, project updates, briefings, reports, presentations, agendas, memos, and other key deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between the Office of the CAO, Administration department leaders, other NYCHA departments (such as Information Technology, Procurement and Finance), and external partners to assist with the procurement and administration of contracts that are necessary to support Administration department needs.
- Contribute to the preparation of all Administration department annual budget requests and appeals.
- Participate and take detailed minutes in meetings.
- Assist with special projects as requested by the Senior Advisor and Chief Administrative Officer.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work listed above.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
1. Experience in supporting or managing strategic business relationships, including coordinating communications between multiple stakeholders. 2. Experience in supporting project management and contract administration. 3. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions and execute as required. 4. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously to ensure all assignments are successfully completed. 5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 6. Accountable, organized, and able to work independently to complete assignments. 7. Experience working in office/facilities management or familiarity with office/facilities management and related projects preferred.
