Job Description

The Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) receives and investigates approximately 5,000 complaints each year. The largest civilian oversight agency in the United States, the CCRB is an independent, non-police agency. It is empowered to investigate, make findings and recommend action on complaints against New York City police officers that allege the use of excessive Force, Abuse of authority, Discourtesy and/or Offensive language.

Administration Unit
The Budget and Operation Unit is charged with managing the Agency’s PS and OTPS budget and oversee the day-to-day operations. The unit is currently seeking a highly motivated, highly organized and detailed oriented individual to serve as administrative coordinator. The Administrative Coordinator will report to and receive direction from the Director of Budget and Operations and Deputy Director of Operations. Specific duties for this position may include the following but are not limited to:

Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Provide general clerical administrative support to the Fiscal Budget Operation unit including scanning, filing, fulfilling office supplies, inventory management and organization.
2. Update and maintain internal excel spreadsheets pertaining to budget and procurement progress.
3.Assist with preparation of budget modification, procurements, payments and other financial actions using FMS2, FMS3 and Passport.
4. Generate periodic financial reports for the team and supervisor.
5. Proactively reach out to vendor to ensure accounts are in good standing and invoices are paid up to date, build and sustain vendor customer relationship.
6. Coordinate with internal business units to fulfill operation requests.
7. Properly maintain vendor deliverables and work order documentation to substantial payments.
8. Maintain and track grant expenditures and assist with claiming process to NYS.
9. Adequate maintain and monitor fleet and agency assets records.
10. Perform other related assignments and special projects as assigned by the Unit Supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.

Able to manage and prioritize various projects with multiple stakeholders. 4. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. 5. Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines. 6. Residency Requirement

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
