The duties of the School Crossing Guard, II position include, but are not limited to:
1. Coordinate daily activities and record keeping of school crossing guards assigned to command.
2. Visit and inspect all school crossing guards on assigned post daily.
3. Sign memorandum pad of school crossing guard and enter time of visit and inspection (report any action taken, including reports of violations by motorists, report any absence from assignment and reason.
4. Maintain a memorandum pad
5. Communicate with precinct each workday.

Residency Requirement

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
